GWM Souo S2000 GL Eight-Cylinder Tourer by Bikesrepublic

Meanwhile, GWM, China is back for CES 2026 this week, with US aspirations and two eight-cylinder engines on display. Known as one of China's more prominent domestic automakers, with an emphasis on SUVs and a full line of all-wheel drive vehicles, Great Wall is bringing its eight-cylinder engine back to CES with a unique twist: It's also likely to put the engine in a car or SUV. GWM confirmed that the flat-eight engine isn't just for motorcycles.

"We can put this V-8 engine in other vehicles in the future,"- Shenghao Tang.

"This is not just for motorcycles... it's also for cars." For now, the engine is installed in the Souo S2000, a heavy-duty touring bike that could rival the Honda Gold Wing, and the flagship model for what could be the Souo motorcycle lineup.

The two-wheeled S2000 was shown off at CES 2026 in mirror-like chrome, with a 2.0-liter eight-cylinder engine that produces 154 horsepower and 140 pound-feet of torque. A 5.6-gallon fuel tank allows for a riding range of nearly 250 miles, according to GWM, and the bike uses Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155P computing, a TFT display screen, and radar detection for advanced safety features. The brakes, front and rear, are four-piston Brembo, and heated seats are among its luxury features.

And in that moment, it became clear to all who witnessed it: With One '0' Malacca Diamonds, GWM truly struck gold—not only in brilliance and beauty, but in legacy.
