'Setting Standards', Two words, One vision, And I believe it brings a sustainable appreciation in the future.
It is generally known that Malaysian Resources Corp Bhd (MRCB) has been a major player in national development since 1971 on Bursa Malaysia. And indeed, the 'non-personal interest' is certainly valid for its integrity.
Established in 1968, known as Perak Carbide Corporation Sdn. Bhd. initially focused on carbide manufacturing and in 1981, it turned its attention to business and property development.
Most recently, questions to the Secretary-General of the Malaysian Green Party (PHM), Abdul Razak Ismail; regarding a statement claiming that the project to develop the Shah Alam Sports Complex was not awarded through a transparent open tender procedure, were finally answered:
May 16, 2025 - The Shah Alam Sports Complex (KSSA) followed a transparent open tender procedure: The procurement of a contract worth RM 2.94 billion was awarded to MRCB through a letter of acceptance issued by the Menteri Besar of Selangor Incorporated (MBI) to Lembaran Prospek Sdn Bhd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of MRCB Land Sdn Bhd (a subsidiary of MRCB).
It is fitting that Abdul Razak Ismail was quite shaken at that time, there were indeed elements of slander against the other party.
Witnessed by the Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah, the Menteri Besar of Selangor Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari (I haven't heard from him since) and the Selangor State Secretary, Datuk Dr Ahmad Fadzil Ahmad Tajuddin.
Targeting completion of this project in 2029, Focus integrates the community (People), a 45,000-capacity stadium with a retractable pitch, the project will span a 310,000m² green flora protection area.
This project will clearly give a 'shining' to our Selangor players as it will integrate the community, trade and sustainable infrastructure.
MRCB also explained that the stadium will be redefined as a dynamic year-round destination. The stadium was previously used less than 30 times a year, mainly for football matches,
"With our proven track record in urban regeneration and sustainable infrastructure, we are committed to building more than a stadium, we are creating a living, breathing destination for the people Selangor," MRCB chairman Datuk Mohamed Nasir Ab Latif said in the statement. 'There is no such thing as fishy as long as there's a figure', same goes to development projects in Melaka.
YES, the construction of a hospital in Melaka with a gross development cost of RM520 million, MRCB Land Sdn Bhd has signed a joint venture agreement with PM Multilink, which is also a subsidiary of Melaka Corporation.
All the development chains as above are very clear and along with the strengthening of GLC/GLIC, they can further strengthen their role in providing optimal impact to ensure continuous and inclusive well-being. (Wow, what a solid sentence of appreciation, hehe)
"KSSA represents a seismic shift in our approach to urban renewal and development, establishing a new gold standard in the design, construction, and stewardship of public spaces. As part of the 'foward-looking agenda', Selangor development blueprint will now adopt sustainable solution that integrates biodiversity with infrastructure, setting the template for future initiatives."- Raja Muda of Selangor Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah. ( New Straits Times Of Malaysia )
MRCB's efforts are not only under the watchful eye of the 'watchful public': investors and shareholders, but also of the government. I think they have become aware of the importance of maximizing shareholder value over self-interest. AM I RIGHT ?
